IFR magazine just had an article about flying to Canadia. If you are not in a hurry I can scan it and email/send it to you when I am able.
 
Last time i checked i didnt have "beedy eyes" and a flappy jaw..haha

I live in BC and fly out of here into the US airspace all the time there are very minimal diffrences. ATC seems to be the same in both countries and approach plates, charts, and procedures are very similar (US approach plates are better). If you need the link for the aviation weather here it is

oh yea and good advice on the MEA you want to be have climbed up to the new MEA before you have reached the point where it changes. Anyhow im no expert but just thought i would give me $.02.

one more word of advice bring some cheap american beer with you cause up here it costs way more. If you need some advice on where to go up here just PM me and ill let ya know some good places EH! (had to throw that one in;) )
