Tanker (I think) runs right through a big boomer over Iraq, can't deviate because of the Iranian border nearby. Great example of St. Elmo's fire, too.

Kind of sounded like it was singing in Arabic but I'm not sure either.

I think it's a KC-135. I'm surprised they left the autopilot on in that kind of turbulence. Glad they made it through...looked like a rough ride!

curious as to why they decided to climb ? We were taught that if you have to penetrate go in lower if you can.
