Does anyone have any info on Skagway Air? My parents are thinking about flying them out of Juneau and are nervous about the small plane thing. Anything less than an airliner is small to them.
I'm looking for type of aircraft they fly, and if anyone knows their reputation for reliability, incidents, etc. Thanks.

Just saw your message about Skagway Air Service...

I flew here in '94 and am back for the 2002 season. I am on LOA from UA and am having a great time flying here again. Our maintenance is top-notch.

We fly 5 passenger Cherokee Sixes and Saratogas, a 3 passenger Archer, a 9 passenger Chieftain, and a 9 passenger Islander.

Although I can't help with your parents' feelings on flying small planes I can tell you this. None of our pilots are pushed to fly if we feel uncomfortable about the flight...whether it is a maintenance issue, weather issue, or personal issue, if we don't feel it is safe - we won't go!

My parents, brother and girlfriend will all be flying with me this season.

If you have any other specific questions about Skagway Air please send me a private message.

Cheers!
