Saviboy, Never forget the good ole Part 91 operators!

They aren't regulated with minimum hiring hours like 135 is. Your a lot more likely to get a break with a 91 company then you will anywhere else.

I started flying part 91 legs of single pilot charter trips in a 310 @ 80 hrs.tt, but I was busting my arse during the days doing line service. It's all how you go about things. I didn't want to instruct so I found a way around it and it's been working out so far. I understand that this is not always possible, but if you can do it, go for it. Just don't expect to make any money for awhile. Turns around a point, steep turns, and dutch rolls don't do you a **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** bit of good in the real world, but the latter side is it brings you time. An instructor that has the opportunity to build multi time at their flight school has a distinct advantage, but most flight schools don't have multi's (at least the ones around here, and even then most people don't have the money and would rather go to something like ATP.) I also know that flight instructors have a hard time getting actual IFR time, which is important in the hiring process. Try Airnet, they use low time F/O's for their piston check runs, and that's some good experience.

The thing is all you need is for someone to give you a break, and fly your best to impress and don't say to much, but let them know you have a personality. I just flew a sim session in the G-IV with a guy that has 500tt. Yes, five hundred hours. He was DOM for his company and they decided to use him instead of a contract guy. There's hope out there for all of us low timers, you just gotta keep pushin' on.

If it doesn't work out quick enough, get some multi time and apply for a job over in Europe the hour requirements over there will make your head spin.

There is also a cargo company out of Redding that hires people at 500 hrs.Also flying jumpers can lead to turbine pic jobs at around 1000hrs.

It Happens...

Worked as a hangar rat from 250 hours, got 500 and did VFR Charter. Flew all 91 stuff for those 250 hours and was in a slow-tation by 1200. Just keep your head down and shut your mouth and work.
Some companies want you to be a clean slate so they can teach you their way of flying.

I wasn't rude until two more PM from the guy hounding me. It is scumbag Aliens like this guy that are in South Florida trying to beat the system and not pay their dues. And in return end up taking a job away from a Citizen, all the while whoring the market out and driving pay down. Why is it fair to allow these guys to work here. I couldn't flip Royales with Cheese if I was over in France. If anyone happens to know this guys real name please PM me. I am going to make sure my friends around the field don't help him.

I guess............I had a situtation earlier in the year when, of all things, a Saudi pilot tried to undercut me in a King Air 200. He saw our captain doing the preflight and told him that he heard he paid his F/O's $200 a day. When Tom told him yes, he said he'd do it for free just for the time. Tom being a former Marine told him "Well as far as I'm concerned you can go F**ck yourself." Needless to say I kept my job until they sold the airplane.

I dont want help from your friends if they are anywhere close to somebody like you. Just the thought of flying with somebody like you is scary enough.

I am not trying to beat the system, I am paying my dues as a CFI, but like EVERYONE at this time of their career I just keep my eyes open in case something shows up. I would not do nor approve any kind of PFT. Poeple already offered me to fly for free, I refused. Not only you have morals.
As i was writing you in a PM, I do not want nor need your help.
Regarding your friends you want to prevent from helping me, I dont want to see them neither.
To finish upsetting you, let me tell you that there are a lot of "scumbag aliens " flying airliners, corporate jets,etc...and Ill be one of them.
