I have a chance to move to Florida with a friend for cheap (all expenses split), and was wondering if that would be good for my aviation career. First, let me say that I kind of want to move anyway, another winter here in Southern NH will send me off the deep end.

Anyway, I am taking my ME Commercial ride this week, and thinking of getting my CFI. Since Florida is flight training mecca, would it be better to get my CFI down there, then look for a job? The flight school I am at now said they will give me some students if I get my CFi there, but it won't be anything close to full time, and even if I had a boat load of them, the weather here screws stuff up so much, I'd have a hard time making ends meet. Since the wx down in Florida is on average much better, and there are a ton of schools, would I have a better chance of making more money and logging more hours down there?

If it makes a difference, I'd most likely be in the Orlando area.

Orlando or Miami would be both good places to start looking for flying jobs.Personally I would prefer Miami, there are a lot of small charter flying jobs there. Not to mention AirNet has a small base in Opa Locka in Miami.
