Does anyone have any information about the following 135 air carriers as far as pilot employment is concerned ?

Air Flight Charters
Island Air Charters
Tropic Air Charters
Twin Air Calypso
Yellow Air Taxi

Thanks in advance..........

Add Locair in FLL to your list. They fly metro's. Got a buddy there but not sure if they're hiring.

Re: Lynx air!!!!!!

Add Lynx Air to your list! Wait, I think the Feds revoked their 135 certificate just recently!!!

I flew for TropicAir for a while. Good company, good maintenance. No uniforms, no IMC or night flying. Most weekends off.

I knew a guy that flew for Yellow Air Taxi, they had a pretty bad rep. Not too sure about the others though. Hey, it's South Florida, expect the worst until proven otherwise.

Look at IBC, Metro's and Saabs in MIA. Not a great place, but i have not heard any horror stories.

I flew for Yellow back in 03-04, worked a lot, built a lot of time, and had a lot of fun doing it. Owner and his wife were nice folks, treated me fine. When I went off to Comair, I had a lot more multi than everyone else in class, and the Int'l experience has helped me a lot in my current Frac job.
