I wouldn't cross the fence at that speed. You'd have to blend short field consideration in At some point you have to transition to ref

Good point and that's where pilot technique is used particularly in windy nasty conditions and for short field ops.

But consider each second you don't apply braking is like adding airspeed as well. Many pilots will let it roll to the end to save braking and make for a better ride for the pax. This has a large affect on landing distance.

a lot to consider especially in bad weather

touch down by the thousand foot marker and get on the brakes and all is well. if not then "uh oh"

Wrong again loud mouth dumbazz, its AFM DRY distance divided by .6 times 115 percent. Why dont you contribute some accurate information instead of your constant druel.

Last time I checked the landing distance calculation chart it said in notes Dry paved runway. There is no correction for wet runway on a landing distance graph. So sorry I put wet in front of afm landing distance. Since you are so concerned about arguing about the price of rice in China your point is moot. It was a 91 repo leg so they are up against afm landing distances. Had it been a 135 leg it would have been up to them to prove they could land within 60% of the effective runway length with the 115% applied for the wet runway, BEFORE they took off. Hows that pilot supplemental pay and great retirement plan working out for you?

And Ruprecht if you promise to put your cork back on your fork, maybe we could open up a civilized discussion about the deceleration capabilities of grass, six galvanized fence posts, an 8 foot high chain link fence and the 5% upslope to reach the airport perimeter road. Just for future reference what would you like to hear less of? How your union negotiated superior work rules and pay? About the world fractional whipsaw convention and how all your union liberal buddies sat around drinking beer patting each other on the backs and telling stories about how they really took it to the company? About the recent spike in asap reports due to pilot fatigue? Or how much you have improved the working conditions and life on the road for all flops pilots? Why don't you run along and obtain the duty times and legs flown of these pilots prior to this incident.

X rated

Answer thy question?

So you are saying you will fly an approach at ref or ref plus 10 in winds gusting to 40 knots?

Where is that in the Afm? I'd like to see that.

It's clearly defined for all operations unless your playing flight Sim:

Auto throttles on - Ref + 5kts. Auto throttles off - half the wind and all of the gust. Not to exceed Ref + 20kts. Max tailwind 10kts. Auto land limitations: 25/20/15 (Cat1).

You're still a Muppet.
