This question is NOT meant to start a long-winded "thrashing" - just a simple question.... hear goes...

Over at Flight Options, I was wondering if the current contract negotiations will greatly improve their salary and bring it closer to the likes of the "new" CS, NJ and Flex pay-scales?

If "yes" - how long before these things might take effect?

Thanks!

I don't work at FLOPS, but I think it is safe to say that they have a LOOONNNNNGGGGGGG way to go to catch up with the rest of the industry leaders. Usually baby steps are needed. It might be a while.

Anyone at FLOPS have any news on how the talks are going? Hope you guys get something soon.

One thing is for sure after 20 months of negotiations the FLOPS pilots won't settle for anything less then the other frac pilots have. Plus a drastic improvement in work rules!!!

A contract will be done when management figures out that it is in their own best interest to get a contract signed and behind them before they start any new expansion plans.

What you're looking at is a company in dire straits. Compared to the other fractionals, its a joke. They can't even afford to keep their own airplanes. A contract (if they can get it) may improve things slightly in the short term but the company's image is shattered in the market place. Would HIGHLY recommend holding out for a real job. Your psychological well being is worth it alone. Do some searching around on the board and you'll see.

Over at FlOOPS, they have not even talked about pay in the negotiations yet as of last report...or settled on schedule, or other major items. The pilots are voting with their feet already, and the vote looks to be that the company will not last.

Last week in one day, 10 pilots resigned. Not a coordinated statement, that is just the amt that ended up throwing in the towel that day.

If you ask me, by Halloween Flight Options will just be a memory.

Yes, it is true-10 in one day. Most of them are coming from the FO's of the BBJ's. It is just not worth staying for crappy pay in a crappy plane.

I also heard 10 in 1 day. Either a rumor from one source with a lot of gab, or it is accurate.

I even hear that guys are not even worried about burning bridges. They don't even summit a proper resignation letter. Instead, they don't bother to show up on day 1 of their tour, having fun knowing the company is trying to get a hold of them when they don't show up for their airlines. The only way the company finds out that they quit is the PM gets a Fed-Ex box that has all their stuff that they are turning back in.

Now that shows how bad things really are.

who knows, they are like the energizer bunny. I thought I barely got out in time about 1.5 years ago. I though they were going to be toast just after the merger.
But they kept going and going.....
