If you want to run a truly professional operation, I suggest making all your days look like this:

Once you factor in show time, preflight prep, putting the airplane to bed - you're looking at easily more than 18 hours. All with the same crew. No day rooms along the way - though SDF would have been a good opportunity. But that costs the company money.

Buffoonery on such a grand scale is best described by the head cheese - safety is secondary to the company mission.
The article in a recent B&CA about accident prone organizations could have been written about that place.
