Heading to Wichita to F/S for Initial on the C90GT. Looking for info on best places to stay and any other helpful information relating to training etc...

I like the Hilton Garden Inn on North Bradley (about $125 a night). Lots of good places to eat close to the hotel. Do NOT stay at the Hampton Inn across the street from FSI. It's nothing close to what you have probably come to expect from other Hampton Inns. Don't study anything else until you have the limitations memorized. You'll regret even reading the POH if you don't have those memorized first.

It's about 5 minutes from FSI. I stayed here for BE400 initial about 2 years ago. Excellent hotel.

Reward yourself at the end (or beginning and middle) at Scotch n Sirloins steakhouse. Get directions...good food and great scenery.

Another good place to eat is Texas Roadhouse, located off of Kellogg and Dugan by ICT (South side of Kellogg on the service road).

Only downside is it's (hotel) all the way across town on the west side, and FSI-Beech is on the east side. There's also a lot of construction on Kellogg on the east side by the mall, so getting across town really sucks in the AM/PM!

Since you aren't at FSI at ICT I presume, then the Marriott on the east side of town should be great.

If you happen to like Japanese food, sushi and sake, there is an excellent place in old town, as good of sushi as you could find, it is right next to a movie theater, and a coffee shop.
