It has now been six months since John Nahill left our midst so that he could pursue other ventures and I was wondering how our search for a new CEO has been going. Is there anyone out there with insider info on whether or not we have been interviewing anyone or whether there is anyone in the frontrunning?

I have not seen any announcements about Mr. Scheeringa becoming the CEO instead of just COO serving as interim CEO so I thought this was a valid question at an appropriate time.

edited for a typo...

I know at the last company meeting. He said he was on the short list for people to become CEO. I wish he was on the short list for being around. LIKE BEING FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The guy is an idiot.

Agreed

I had some one contact me that said they were interested in the job, had to tell them "Dude you sure don't need to be talking to me."

It would be like offering someone the position of Captain of a sinking ship. The passengers and crew are climbing into the lifeboats, and the ship is listing badly. The current acting skipper is running around with a bucket trying to bail water, while the CGF String Quartet plays "Nearer My God To Thee." The Flexjet, Citation Shares and Netjets fins are moving through the water. Oh yeah! Now THAT'S a job to covet!

Heck just lock a monkey in the CEOs office. He should be able to produce the same results if not better results. We're thinking of trying this at NJA.
