That thing had a LORAN that would couple to the autopilot (that worked). I slept through a couple of JAX center's sectors in that one!!

The loran is still in the plane but doesn't work for beans and there is no sign of an autopilot. It's a bucket of bolts but fast as heck. At 9k you can have a TAS of 195 kias. Most of the other Barons barely make 185 or so.

She used to have a great autopilot, go figure it's probably been repalced by a nice shiny black plate

I remember when 703MC had a Wx radar one week. It came back from KORL for MX with a nice black panel to cover the hole. I guess somebody left a piece of shiny metal speed tape in the radome, and toasted it
