Been here a year--still in the C210. By talking to guys flying the fractionals or regionals (Big planes with radar and autopilot), I've discovered that this is some of the best experience on the market. Single pilot, Part 135, no radar, no stormscope, no autopilot, hand-flying through all types of weather, seem to get (or gain) a lot of respect from the guys that fly with all the luxuries.
Maint. is good. ANY squawks get taken care of right away. That was one reason I turned down a couple of other jobs before getting on with Flight Express. That's right!! I TURNED DOWN A COUPLE OF JOBS IN AVIATION!! Burning in because of crappy maintanence is not an option for me. My family means too much. I know jobs are tough to come by, but you have to have priorities.
Some of the planes have over 16,000 hours on them, but all the inspections are always current. They are like an old pair of shoes. The ones that look all ragged out are the ones that fit the best.
Good luck!
