Looking for information about operating with or without an ICAO Type 1 FDR. We are looking at future fleet/equipment needs and trying to decide if we need the ICAO Type 1 FDR or they lower model FDR to operate overseas part 91. We do 99% domestic and the price tag of $206,000 per tail for the ICAO Type 1 FDR is hard to swallow... Trying to also factor the resale value of this down the road. Any experiences or insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
