i saw these two guys the other day they did that top gun high five thing, then they did a chest bump and then they had gay sex right there in the gate area. i thought it was kind of strange but then i saw riddle stickers on their flight cases and i guess that is the accepted way alumni greet each other.

Laughing my ass off....Hilarious

On Any Sunday (pun intended) there are about 10,000 guys around here that fit that description and they are all riding the same bike (Fatboy or Road King). Amazing. What ever happend to jeans, an innocuous pair of work boots and a T-shirt?

Rant over......

What a great movie. I'm happy to throw the point to the ground wave to anyone who knows On Any Sunday is not talking about the upcoming weekend.

It's the same as when the motorcyclists pass one another on a road. They always wave even though they don't know each other. It's the polite accepted standard. That said if I don't get a nod I don't lose sleep over it (or even think about it for longer than two seconds). In fact I'm not even thinking about it anymore.

Well, harley guys usually don't wave to crotch rocket guys and vice versa. I wave wave to whoever waves to me or at least give a nod. Back to the pilot thing. I try to say hi to other crews when I can but I find a lot of younger SJS types don't say hi. They walk around like they're sh!t don't stink. You're flying the same freakin jet I am.

Ok tough guy. You try that with me sometime and I'll take your finger and break it off!

I have several good friends at CHQ and have no quarrel with their pilots but dude, seriously, your avatar screams "tool".

i really hope somebody finds out who you are so we can take you behind the woodshed and learn you something.

I think the glamour of been pilot is gone!!!

This thread is good! We are rude and selfish group of "professionals"

This goes alone the lines, when you see pilots with their backbags walking at the airport,or have their they loose but still on, having their sneakers on while wearing uniform etc...

The high life of beeing pilot is gone and will go even worse is my opinion!

We are like group of white trash walking around the airports. No wonder that general people don't respect pilots anymore!

Be polite you never know who that other person is!

Won't work. It's that kind of sexual abuse that's made Guppykiller the kind of gay he is today.

oh damn here is the winner for the biggest tool d*****bag of the decade award

22.50 and hour and this little boy thinks he is a real airline pilot. breaking off fingers? oh please. I will flip you off and you will stand there and look as stupid as that avatar toolbag.

Delta Pilots despise Connection pilots of any type, although they particularly loath Comair pilots.

you're full of ******************** Fins. The Delta pilots don't despise Connection pilots. In fact in the case of ASA, it's just the opposite. The ASA pilots are very well thought of by the Delta pilot group.

Maybe your are the one who despises the Delta pilots?

Well, I'm a concourse nodder and 50% of the time, I give a Delta pilot the nod, he looks right at me and keeps walking. Sadly enough, 50% of the time, an ASA pilot won't nod either. Probably 'cause I'm not wearing a hat, 'cause when I do it improves.

Maybe people in 'da ATL are just shallow?

Everyone in Atlanta seems to like AirTran pilots, although they are the "competition." Just goes to show you how well Delta runs its operations. All the employees under the Delta umbrella hate eachother to the point of physical violence if they thought they could get away with it, while they love the airline that is putting them out of business.

Seems Delta pilots would like the guys who are bringing them passengers to fill their Boeings, but that is not the way it is.

This business is nuts - you will need a really thick skin.
Man, do you sit around with your hands on yourself creatively thinking this up. DL pilots don't despise DCI pilots, we only LOATHE you fins!

Holy F!! Where do you live? Florida?

My Personal favorite is stopping at a red light next to one of those Harley dudes, and when they "rev" up their "engine" I start honking (a very respected practice in this part of the country).

If your POS engine won't run at idle, leave it in the garage at home.

I had a Mesa puke give me a drive by bird on the ramp the other day. I should have mooned him... welcome to the South, boy!

The both of u are acting like kids. "Welcome to the South, boy?" and then you complain about not being respected. All jokes aside here, we can make this profession into what ever we want it to be, just by how we all act in public. Lead by example! Everyone complains about this and that and who’s at which airline and this contract and that contract, but is anyone out there willing to join 2gether as a whole instead of fighting with everyone and their brother? Anyone how has the nerve to do such things in pubic is a disgrace to the industry and needs to be working the fryer some food joint, not sitting in the flight deck with my mom's and sister's life in your hands!

I personally believe that the answer to our problems is a national seniority list and uniform pay rates and a uniform contract across the entire industry!

I was walking through the terminal the other day and made eye contact with a GJ guy. I then said "hi". He didn't say anything and just looked down at the floor. What's up with this?

It sounds like you suggest that we all belong to the same union?

No, we should have like 50,000 unions for the same profession, so brass asses can play everyone against each other. The jokes on us.

dash8driver said:
yes, its generally considered polite to acknowledge other crew members in the terminal. you dont have to wave at them when they are half way across the terminal tho... the question is, at what distance would the wave/nod be considered as excessive.

Seems like a reasonable distance would be "in passing." I don't want to have to be weaving through the crowds to extend my cheery greeting, like some Jeffy (and I like apples). If someone walks near by me, I'll check for eye contact, and if they are paying attention, I'll gallantly touch the brim of my cap or give a little mini-salute, sometimes a wink, but not a gay-come-on one. Sometimes I use the old whazzup nod, like I'm pointing at something on the ceiling with my chin.

Here's a question: what's the difference in protocol between the terminal and the employee bus to the parking lot. I'm getting really tired of acknowledging (mini-salute/hat brim touching) 13 other pilots on the bus. ;)

I run into a few g*jet pilots a while ago.... I didn't say hi to them.... I was being a jerk... bite me.

You should have seen their faces when i told them I fly for TSA.... full of shame.

(I don't fly for TSA)

I've seen a lot of pilots just stare at the floor like there is a airport map on it. If you can't hold your head up then maybe you ought to cancel our trip.

I said I should have mooned him, not I did moon him. Spare me the lecture on professionalism, sonny.

Actually, I was too shocked to do anything but laugh until my FO asked me what was so funny.
