DULLES, Va.
"A flight attendant will have to come back to court in Virginia after being arrested at Washington Dulles International Airport for carrying a concealed handgun on the plane.
Rob Yingling is a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. He says that just after noon yesterday, airport authority police received a call saying a flight attendant was turning herself in for carrying a gun on United flight 7591 from Atlanta to Dulles.

Yingling says the woman, 45-year-old J**** T***** of Lithonia, Georgia, said it was an inadvertent mistake.

She was arrested but released on a summons to appear in Loudoun County court. Yingling says she was cited on concealed weapons charges for having the gun in Dulles airport, but that other authorities may bring other charges for her having the gun on the plane.

Yingling says Parker was in uniform on the flight but not part of the duty crew."

Guess that new TSA policy requiring us to go through security works like a charm. I cannot believe they didn't give her ANY kind of break for turning herself in. That'll teach her to be honest

You watch. They will drop everyone off at landside soon. It's coming

I think all employees should be dropped off at the front of the airport and overwhelm TSA. Then maybe they'll start applying some common sense to their policies.

Get ready for strip searches when you go to work. SIDA may not go completely out the window, but things are about to get a lot more difficult.

And what is with all the people "accidentally" carrying guns lately? First, James Webb's assistant and now this chick. A gun is something that you should be certain where it is. It isn't like misplacing your car keys.

Birmingham AL, used to have an "amnesty box" to drop your guns and knives into (they may still have it)

You know, for those times when you suddenly realize you forgot to take your Desert Eagle out of your Fobus. Just drop it in and you can still make the flight!!

My question is, who's checking TSA? And if someone is putting TSA through security, who's checking them? Since the average TSA screener has as least an 8 grade education, I can only assume the people that screen TSA have at least passed a grade school equivalency test.

I don't know about that, have you seen that show on Fox, "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" If no-one can win a million on that show then I don't think we could expect the fine people of the TSA or the people who check them to have such a high level of education.
