I am a little slow. Let me get this straight, the ONT based pilots are no longer based at ONT and have to move to another base? Or, will those people previously based at ONT continue to live there if they so choose? It just seems so random. Why shut down the only West Coast base when a lot of pilots probably want to live on the West Coast...

Sounds like Flexjet management is BEGGING for a union...

If you are SoCal based then you are Home based now. If we unionize then it will give the Anti Union people something to complain about while the rest of the pilot group is very happy.

I wonder what you will find to complain about if we do get a union.

Don't pilots within the same industry deserve a similar compensation package for performing like duties?
Flex pilots have a very legitimate concern and I wholeheartedly support those who are calling for parity.

If the present method isn't working give it the boot! Best of luck to those willing to take a stand.

Nice Legs, Next jet wife>
I have been around a few years, First Travel Air,
Ha it sounded like a nice place to work for.
A few years after, like 2 years after. We had ( Travel Air ) to show some profits. so no more nice hotels, rental cars ....
Then oh well the merger with Flight options.
Darn that was fun.
Ok now now HIG is here, is it Embraer on the back ground or ?
I just hope nobody wants to come here to work. It would help us on the short time.
Be ggod and ask me questions if you are real

Thanks for the compliment, D221. My condolences on the aviation roller coaster ride which sounds as though it has had too many lows. Certainly, you and your fellow pilots are long overdue for better times. The pilotgroup has already sacrificed more than their fair share to help build the company and one has to ask what management gave up during those years? Very little, if anything, I bet!

I agree that pilots in the job market are well advised to avoid Flt Ops at this time. It makes more sense to wait until the pilots get their contract so they will know exactly what they're signing on for. The way things currently stand, Options managers have a long way to go before flying there is an attractive choice. The current situation doesn't match the name. Settling the contract dispute fairly is the first order of business and will show prospective pilots how professionally ran (or not) the company is.

Enough already! The new year needs to bring a new attitude with it from the other side of the bargaining table. Stalling just hurts the company and angers the pilots. Management has to wise up and do the right thing so that everyone can work together. Good Luck! Hang in there!

PS D221, I don't understand your last comment: "... ask me questions if you are real" Who are you referring to?

When was someone going to tell me that I am now home based? We are not home based ONT is simply not taking anymore crew in right now. Don't know why I am still getting flown out of LAX or ONT and with the posibility of any of the two dozen airports we cover in the greater souther cal area.

Hey Dingo, how do you know the other one is as good looking as the one in the pic??
Nice leg, though.

ACT700, to show that both legs are the same I've posted a different avatar for you....;)
But my advice to all underpaid pilots remains the same.

You have to be willing to kick up some dust if you want things to change...NJW

In contracts...or pirate boots? ;) :p
