BUT always thought it was strange you had to sing gay songs to get laid?

naw, never got laid. the songs weren't gay... usually. it was just one performance we did amongst a slew of other ones. i actually had a g/f when i did the choir gig, so it really wasn't beneficial to me. but i had fun, and that's all that matters

1800 cc. 1996 GT convertible.

It's coming out of the body shop this week.
 
My hubby crashed my 1996 Celica. That's why I bought a new car.

OK, I was already thinking about a new car, but the accident gave me justification I could live with.

OK, I really wanted the Z4 and was secretly relieved he crashed the car (but glad he was uninjured).

What the heck...I planned the accident so I could get my new car. I sabotaged his brakes.

Ahhh...ok! I remember the engine changes, I had an 1987 Celica ST. Fire engine red and the 2.2 liter engine and a five speed. It was sprite for the time period and good on gas, but I didn't realize the 1.8 liter engine was more powerful than the the 2.2...but according to this website it was a much more powerful engine...

I really liked the hell out of my 1987 Celica, too bad some schlep ran me into a telephone pole while I was driving it...folded it up square on the license plate and it crumple zoned into a total loss.

Had it about two years, then bingo...a telephone pole met the front license plate. Stainless targa guards, American Racing Corvette "look-alike" rims, a five speed and optional mud guards and right side mirror.

Yea, the right side mirror and mud guards was optional on the ST...fuggers.

The maroons (yes, that's spelled correctly :D) who get a new 883 Sportster on Thursday (first bike), buy $500 worth of genuine Harley leather when they leave the office at lunch on Friday, get a $125 tattoo (their first) on Saturday afternoon ...

... and then Saturday night by 9:00PM they're wowing everyone with tales of being "in the wind" and all the "bar-fights" they've been in and that they know the (insert chapter/city name here) Hells Angels and they'll ask me why I'm not drinking ... "You on parole? Yeah I had that once. This one time in Texas I killed a man just to watch him die." :rolleyes:

You know the drill, FN, if you've been around more than about ten years.

Then I have to tell them ... "No ... I don't drink because even though I wear a tie to work nowadays I still have a low tolerance for $hithead, overnighter, weekend-warriors like you and I'm pretty sure if I was drinking I'd have caved your skull in with a beer pitcher by now."

Then I try to introduce him to my older brother and his bros, so he can wow the Outlaws MC with all his hardcore biker stories. They're usually very impressed .... not. And generally Mr. Peter 'Overnighter' Fonda avoids me from then on. :D

Hahaha...I hear ya Minh-ster. I never rode with a crowd...except for the rare occasion of riding with the Blue Knights on a charity run and the one time my dad invited himself on my vacation.

Back in the day (69ers MC- Texas, New Mexico, Arizona) it was nothing to run wheel-to-wheel at 80+, and if you got stupid or had a bit too much to drink, the Road Captain would kick you off your $hit as soon as we got slow enough so that it wouldn't actually kill you, and everyone else could get out of your way.



Nowadays I see these huge packs of people strung out all over creation ... zig-zagging everywhere ... two or three chicks riding the new SuperGlide bought for them by hubby for b'day at 45 mph in the middle of the pack ... paddling like ducks at stop lights ... all rapping their stupid-loud straight-pipes "Look at me ... I'm a bad-@ss biker/bikette!". Used to be you had to worry about the cars trying to kill you. Now it's the rest of the maroons on bikes that'll do it.



I can't wait until the fad is over and those of us who supported the local dealers thru the lean times (the 80s) can walk back in to dealerships without people looking at us like we smell or something just cuz we don't have a $20,000 loan to buy the latest Jap-parted, fuel-injected POS from Milwaukee. It has started already, judging from HDs numbers last quarter. I don't wish anything bad on any American company, but HD forgot those who kept them in business when Japan was kicking that @ss twenty years ago.

Yea, we got a bunch of em at work now as well.

They don't know nothing about motorcycles, but they do know how to tell you how much their bike cost them.

I have been riding road bikes since 1977 and several years while in the navy in Norfolk, all I had was a bike...year round.

Started out on a four cylinder 350 Honda, went to a four cylinder 550 Super Sport Honda after that. Then after the service I got GL-500 two cylinder, new out of the crate. After that it was a fuel injected gold wing with all the trimmings. Then a CBX six cylinder, six carb bike with dual overhead cam and 24 valves.

I'm about to hang up motorcycle riding. It's too dangerous for several reasons...

When morons aren't riding their harleys, they are driving around in their mini-vans with the stock car racing stickers on the back windows while talking on their cell phones. People are just not stopping at stop signs any more, because they are too busy talking on their cell phone. So therefore, if I am on my bike, I cannot do much damage to them when I ram them...so car it is.

Plus, like you said, every clown and his retard neighbor are bikers...where were they back in the day when establishments forbid motorcycles to park in their lots and establishements refused to let you bring your helmet inside. That happened to me a lot in virginia. "No helmets allowed inside-No motorcyle parking in parking lot...POLICE EXCEPTED!" The apartments I lived in before going in the service, forbade you to bring them on the property as well...stipulated in the lease.

The roads are crowded more so than ever...screw that noise. I like when someone uses the term "freedom of the open road!". Yea, try driving on I-64 eastbound on a friday afternoon in the summer. Grid lock! Freedom of the open road was in the 70's...it aint here now.

Finally, the roads are worse than ever...pot holes and what not.

I started riding on the street at 19 years old (1973 FLH, stripped-down POS :D) and I sold my last bike only a few years ago, and with the exception of a couple weeks each Spring I don't really miss it. In fifteen years I was almost killed more times than I can remember, and I have ten friends who were killed. I have finally decided that, at 41 years old ... I am not immortal afterall ... I heal slowly, and I hurt a long time ... and my sons need their dad.

I think I'd like to have another one at times, and I borrow a SuperGlide or a Springer ST a couple times a month from my younger or older brother (two of my three brothers still ride, both in clubs, one in a large, national 1%er club), but I'd probably not ride any more than I do now: just an hour or two on a country road by myself in the early evening. Just enough to relive the experience of a cool, quiet NC country evening, a winding road, and a massive, throaty roar underneath me.

Then afterwards, I put on a long-sleeved, button-down shirt to cover the 'artwork', I get my stupid wannabe @ss back in my Nissan, and I go to Gap to see if they have those nice pleated bus. cas. slacks on sale again.

Im back from the island!!!!

So I spent 7 days there, and had a great time by the way!!!

The virgins have been finally replaced, I got to deflower a few ;)

And if you guys are into trivia, penguins do smoke after sex, really good sex that is, so we got along pretty good because I do the same ;)
