Someone needs to END daly, hopefully soon.

Can't wait to the next mayor comes along and we can have the airport back again, I would love to visit Chitown again, lots of fun things to do but I'm sure not going to visit without the convenience of landing at Meigs, I'd love to visit the Field or Science and Industry Museums again, haven't been there since I was a kid.

daly sure did stop a lot of tourism in Chicago.

Depressing. Not only for the fact Meigs is closed, but also for the fact that I used to have some pictures like that from when I flew a King Air 200 into Meigs in 2002. Lost them all when my hard drive crashed.

flychicaga, if you really want your pictures back, there are services that do intense data backup from fried components. I read that a woman dropped her laptop in the water in the amazon, to find it a week later with creatures living inside, all her data was recovered... there is hope

I wish! Dell make me relinquish my old, scrapped HD for the new one they sent. They probably fixed it and are looking at all the pictures of my girlfriend in her bikini right now over there in India.

Wish I'd had the foresight to take pics like that when I was flying into Meigs. Used to take the owner in there twice a month back when he had an Ultra. A really unique GA airport....sigh. Somebody should pimp slap that ashole Daley.

Wow! Flt Sim sure has come a long way!

Awesome pictures. You go to do what I've wanted to do since I was 5 or whenever Flt Sim v1.0 was running on my pos IBM w/ 1 color (amber) screen.

Daley is a corrupt politican -- did you expect any less? I'm surprised he didn't have the leader of the "Friends of Meigs" group bumped off.

I live in Chicago and hate Daley.

The only people I've met from Chicago who like him are cops. I don't know the local politics enough to understand why.
