Congratulations! Enjoy every minute of it, even those 3 a.m. feedings. Life doesn't get any better than this. They grow way too fast.

Hey, maybe you can wake up at 3am and feed my kid when I have one since "life doesn't get any better than this". I can't imagine fatigue being great. Whaddya say? :D

come on guys, what do you call commuting to work, facing career uncertainty with layoffs, pension plans being slashed, working in an industry with a 60%+ divorce rate, and other stuff? What is it called?

Living the dream

!!!!

"quote, it is called, "Living the dream"

someone once said nobody on their death bed says, " i wish i spent more time at the office. "

For pilots I think it could be said, " i wish i spent more time at 350 on a four hour leg"

nor will your boss, CEO, or Chief Pilot ever push your wheelchair or change your pee bag at Sunny Acres Rest Home

something for people to keep in mind when trying to climb that ladder and drink the cool-aid

You sound like a crybaby. Do yourself a favor and never have one.

Yeah, I'm a crybaby because the thought of waking to a crying baby at 3am doesn't make me go "yippeee kay yay!" Whatever dude. If getting woken up at 3am makes you excited, you need help.

Gee, I wonder how many times you have gotten up in the middle of the night.....oh that's right....you are on a trip and your baby's mom got up. If you are a man, you are the one without a clue....just be glad someone wanted to have your baby.

O.K. you win. LOL. You sound like my wife.

Capt Mega Death must be a woman...otherwise how the hell would she know that I never got up in the middle of the night when my newborns were crying.........Ouch...Just joking ladies....I did awake when they were crying to let my wife know they needed to be fed....you see,,,Im a good husband...

The person who came up with the term "slept like a baby" is an a$$hole. If someone really slept like a baby they would be up every 3 hours eating, pooping, crying, and burping. (Am I describing a baby or an old man?)

I have 2 kids. I was up with them every time at 3am. I will tell you that I ADORE my kids, but getting up with them that early SUCKED.

Been a while since I typed on this thread. But I would give 40 million dollars or more just to have Bruce flying again. I've been in aviation off and on quite a number of years and to be truthful " I've always loved it. I do miss my family too, my son is 17 and lives in Michigan, I want so badly to fly him first class for the summer to see MOM. I've lost 13 pounds, since I'm not eating in one month, just because I'm so alone.

Good news I will probably more than likely be visiting with Bruce's grandchildren next week. He had 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He had kids at age 19, so even though he was a young 57 who looked 45, it would give me great pleasure to visit with the grandchildren.

thanks to everyone who has sent me a pm, and been a real friend in need.
