I have a quick question for anyone who has done the FIRC. I've signed up for the FIRC with American Flyers. According to the FAA, I must:

Present evidence of having graduated from an FAA-approved flight instructor refresher course (FIRC) within the preceding 3 calendar-months. The instructor’s FIRC graduation certificate should be presented to an ASI at the time of application for renewal.

My question is can I begin taking the course 6 months prior to my CFI expiration date, but not actually COMPLETE the course until within the three month prior window? If so, does the American Flyers site let you know when you are about to answer the last question?

Thanks

Yes. The date of the FIRC is the completion date.
You take a series of tests, and you know when you are answering the last question of the last test.
