This may be a dumb ? but here go's .I see on my KMD 150 there are areas showing FIR + VIR airspace I know FIR is Flight information region but why is it depicted on the GPS display of a kmd 150 . I cannot find VIR which is simularly depicted such as a type of airspace thanks Vavso

VIR = UIR (Upper "Flight" Information Region)

thanks

what is the significance I see it depicted on my GPS in the vicinity South west of KHPN its a very small area depiction of about 5 miles in circumference thanks vavso
