In his defense he was on probation and he feared for his job after just arriving at ASA with a ink-wet commercial certificate from his accelerated CRJ course at Jet University..

Here's what I know. Sitting in the crew lounge this morning BD got a call. After hanging up, he proceeded to talk about this "pilot" to a group of about 5. BD said he was "parading" around the cockpit,before boarding, with a bottle of Jaeger. All the passengers in the terminal, the gate agents, rampers witnessed this. They took off, had an air return, BD said it had to do with a Cargo door opening situation? Then all the passengers were very vocal about what they witnessed with the Jaeger.

No, don't try and shoot holes in the story, it came right from BD's mouth, no more, no less. Nothing about a fight, arrest, porn on his computer, or any other events except for many questions about the sanity of one of our pilots.

No one paraded around any terminal with Jager. It was in a flightcase un-opened. The aircraft was not on a gate- not on a terminal. It was a mx repo and no customers were on the A/C or near it. Period. All of the info that was relayed was BS. The crew never had a brawl period. The main source for the problem was basically an over zealous local sheriff deputy that had too much time on his hands.

To wit, I heard the FO's pet mongoose got loose and ran up the CA's pant-leg. In his panic the CA accidentally elbowed the FO in the temple. The FO, not realizing what was happening bitch-slapped the CA (he didn't really like him anyway and was just looking for an excuse). After having his line X-ed out while the investigation is completed, the FO enjoyed half a bottle of Jaeger. The mongoose, corralled at last, enjoyed the other half.

That happened to me once! I was in training, he was flying. I was reading back the approach clearance, and noticed he had Otto set up to intercept a VOR radial instead of the LOC... and since his head was in his flight case, I flopped the NAV freq on his side, reset the magic, and he smacked my hand when I was pushing the last button.

The apology was eloquent and verbose, just like my reaction to getting smacked.
