If selected to attend FFDO training; Does your employer have to give you those days off, to attend training?

What is the best way to get to Artesia NM from New York.

Thanks,

No, it's up to you to get the days off. They are, however, very flexible in their scheduling - just let them know the Wednesday before you go. Depending on who you work for, your management may help you out.

Depends on your airline. Mine is very FFDO unfriendly, and I went on a vacation. Check with your MEC security chair though, some have pilots set up that will cover trips for you. And like they said on the other thread, they are very flexible in the scheduling. I'd recommend that every one attend the training. It's that good.
