1) What do they pay during training? Is the hotel included? Where do they do their training out of?

2) When deadheading internationally on another United, Delta, etc, do you get first class, or coach?

3) Do people regularly fly over min guarantee? If yes, approx how much?

Thanks!

I think its $500 a week until passing ioe. Training is done in YIP on your own nickel, the sim there should be certified this summer. I believe new hires will still go to Louisville or Denver for initial. Months vary from only guarantee to about 100 hours on the real high side working days on. Don't count on anything extra past guarantee.

Pay is $800 every two weeks in training. Regular pay after completion of IOE.

Most guys lose the shirt after they get on the plane.

During ground school, no perdiem and you pay for the hotel. After ground school the company gets the hotel and you get $36/day perdiem. Training pay is $500/week until after IOE is complete. Gaurentee is 60.7 hrs. Sometimes you break it sometimes you don't.

Is that you Larry Csonka? Oh yes, uniform shirts only if you get a real flaming @$$h*le, retarded, goat smelling Napoleon complex, small crank, jerk captain.

Aww hell you are right. For some reason I remembered it at $800 every two weeks.

No one said it specifically, but this is Kalitta Air we're talking about here - not the Kalitta Charters 135 operation.

For deadheading, whether it's international or domestic, it's all coach. There have been occasions where I've ended up in business for whatever reason, but there are few and far between. I'll point out that all our tickets are regular revenue tickets, so we earn FF miles on all our flights. Some guys have elite FF status with an airline and get upgraded at times because of that.

Yes, I´m talking about Kalitta Air. Thanks for the clarification, I keep forgetting that there are two other Kalitta´s out there!

How long is the ground school? Standard 4 weeks? Do any hotels in the area offer special rates? When you said ´until the completion of ground school`, I´m assuming you mean until the start of sim training?

One more thing- APC dosen´t mention it, but is there a 401k available?

Thanks guys!

Standard 4 weeks is correct, maybe a little longer depending on when your exit oral is scheduled.

Red Roof Inn in Belleville offers 29.99 a night for Kalitta people, or did last year. They don't have a van so you'll need a car or a ride to the training center. The Hampton Inn will give you a ride to class. Both are within walking distance to a grocery store, several fast food places, Wal-Mart, Applebee's, etc.

Yes, starting with sims your hotel is covered and you get per diem. Also mileage if you drive to the sim.

401k is available, but with no match.
