Feuding over the duties of a pilot

This obviously is not a majority view of the pilot profession, but it appears a lot of average Joes and Marys do believe it. What is disheartening is when a number of the observers shouting in unison the same comment.

Surprised such an answer would even be permissible on a daytime family TV show about ones profession. Its not funny at all, but rather derogatory, actually. You do have to wonder where the sampling of people who answer these surveys come from. Probably the same minds who do so "well" at Jay Leno's 'Jaywalking' segment. Thats the one where they ask random people simple questions they invariably get wrong.
