Ferrying aircraft GEG-COS: Need suggeestions

I have never been in the Spokane (ok, is it spo-can or spo-caine??) area. I have plenty of mountain flying experience. Aircraft is a 150 hp c-150 (vfr only). Just looking for suggestions for my proposed routes.

Route 1:

Head east from GEG across Idaho and the Bitteroot mountains (Missoula, Bozeman, Cheyenne,Cos). The Bitteroots look lower than the 14K+ mountains in Co, but there is ALWAYS lots of wind in Wyoming. The wind could be a good thing if it is blowing in the right direction.

Route 2:

Head south from Spokane to Boise, Salt Lake, Grand Junction, Cos

Leaving out the wx, is one route more scenic/fun than the other??

It's Spo-can......And if you do the Boise, Salt Lake direction you'll see some fantastic country. Just south of Lewiston is Hell's Canyon, the deepest canyon in the world. But from LWS-BOI, it is some pretty hostile terrain if you have any problems with the plane. After takeoff from Boise, it is going to look like Nebraska for about an hour. The Snake River does carve some canyons in the lava rock which is cool. Twin Falls is where Evil Kneival jumped the river years ago, and you can still see the ramp from the air. From there, you can cross over Burley and some more mountains and come out on the north side of the Great Salt Lake. But if you made a slight turn south over Jackpot, NV and went to Wendover, you could stop there to see that field's great history. And a short van ride from the airport can lead to 3 casinos. I've flown just about every square mile of this area, and if you want more specifics, let me know.

Fly through Colorado and have fun. You can get through the pass at 10000 feet of above. You can always swing south through Alamosa and cut through the pass just south of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Enjoy it.
