Ok, so i figured out that i cant make it comfortably make this trip to Germany on the standard fuel in the Seneca I (93 gallons). So, whats the approximate cost/process/special rules? with ferry tanks? The owner is still interested in going if tanks are an option. We wanna go over in October and come back after about a week. Im thinking i'd want another 30 or 40 gallons put on board for me to be totally comfortable. Ok, that is all...

This board is alot of things, but one thing it is not is a place to get the info you are looking for. Step One: Contact the manufacturer or a factory authorized dealer. They are the ones that have the info you are looking for. Step Two: See Step One.

Don't know too much about ferry tanking outfits on the East Coast as most of my dealings with it have been on the West Coast.

Yes it can be done. Don't know what they would charge you.

I do know that the business of tanking and ferrying aircraft is becoming increasingly difficult with more & more regulation (at least out here). Tanking the aircraft is not the big problem. The biggest thing is going to be insurance and it does not sound like you have any ferry experience, so that is definitely a problem.

Tanking aircraft for people with no ferry experience and that are doing it for fun really opens the individual that performs the tanking to alot of liability.

Sorry, just giving you my honest appraisal.
