Brazil's Trip Airlines says it booted a passenger off one of its flights this past Friday after he made loud sexist comments about women flying planes to the flight's female pilot.
Trip confirmed the incident in a Tuesday statement, saying the man was removed from a flight going from Belo Horizonte to an airport in Brazil's central state Goias state.
Trip was not apologetic, however, stressing it has no tolerance for disparaging remarks directed at any of its 1,400 female employees.
The unidentified flier who allegedly made comments was met by police and removed from the Belo Horizonte airport, The Associated Press reports. The news agency says Brazilian authorities have not responded to requests for more information and that it is not known if the man faces any charges.
The incident delayed the flight by about an hour.
