I was in the AOC today and was told that we would be starting a class of 24 (twice the normal size lately) on Nov 18th! Evidently the pool is around 85 right now. How about that for some good news!
I was told by an assistant chief pilot and apparently another poster in the Fedex Fall Classes thread (Chaz I think) saw an email from a ACP today as well. Sounds very promising and I don't think that they would go public with that kind of info unless they were fairly certain because the mood has been somewhat dreary since the 4 classes were canceled. Everybody wants to see more new hires on the property, so this was very encouraging news.
Cool, I am not in the pool, but the bros on the inside tell me I will get a call when things get started again. I was starting to sweat the details of life after retirement while pumping gas and selling shoes, waiting for '05 as Jim Parker of SWA says it will take for the industry to get healthy again.
Anyone else find sources to support Falconjet's news?
727 S/O ACP said today in a newsletter that 24 more would start in November. He's been wrong before, but this is not a hallway rumor...this is from management.
If your sponsors have been pushing you, I'd be expecting to interview again after the 1st--if past performance is any indication. For those in the pool, maybe you won't be as wrinkled as you originally thought.
