Do any of you Fedex types know when the medical benefits actually start?
Is it the first day or 30 days later like some other places?

Thanks,
Bones

Beware- unless you live in certain cities, you may only be eligible for the 80/20 plan. We had a baby with a few problems while I was in new hire training, and it cost me $3500 right away out of pocket - and $10,000 over the first three years. You may want to Cobra your existing insurance - if you have real insurance...

Bones....you need to let your wife put down her suitcase before you start breeding! ;) Your benefits start day 1, so no...you don't have to "hold out" for 30 days...:D

Seriously...its an awesome feeling at day 1 at FedEx when they say "congrats....as of 0800 today you are covered...."

Fedex dudes,
Thanks for the info, I just didn't know if I needed to sign the misses up for tricare until her bennies kick in after 30 days.
I am happy that it starts on day 1 with no lapse in coverage or cobra etc.
