Hey Guys

Does anyone know how many jumpseats on the DC-10-10, MD11 or A300. Also, If you sign up for the jumpseat (assuming there is a seat available) can you still get bumped off right up until departure?

thanks in advance

Fed Ex is the best to jumpseat on.

The MD-10 configuration is different depending on the aircraft. It ranges from 5-7. I beilieve the airbus has 5.

As far as getting bumped. You are golden 2 hours before departure or 1 hour from your show time. Only a fed ex guy can bump you once you are listed for the jump.

Sorry But UPS are the Best to Jumpseat.

Has International jumpseating been allowed on FedEx or UPS?

UPS and FEDEX are both great and much more reliable than pax carriers. Only downside is getting back to "civilization" once they drop you off on the other side of the airport. Usually you can catch a ride with one of the crew IF they are leaving the airport themselves.

you can list for the jumpseat up to 24hrs out. if you get confirmed on the flight, the seat is yours. even a fedex pilot cant bump you. if the j/s scheduler says its captains approval, that means you will most likely be in the cockpit and will need captains thumbs up. no big deal either way

Not even San Juan,PR which is USA territory and passaport is not required.

So SJU is considered international by FedEx and offline jumpseaters aren't allowed?

Fedex security is kinda crazy...but not as crazy as compared to the TSA.

Both are great though. More than accomodating.
