Interviewed over 3 weeks ago and still no word. Any reason to start worrying? Anyone know how the post-interview approval process works? Thanks.:(

If you haven't heard anything in 5-7 business days, its actually time to start chilling champagne.

The quote I liked best about FDX..."the only thing that moves fast is the packages..."

Good luck.

Hey Money:

What was your timeline for your interview.

When did you first start the application process?
How long did it take them to call you?
ETC

A buddy of mine applied 13 months ago and hasn't heard squat. He's freaking out because he's got all the right times and folks in the company pulling for him etc etc.

Applied May '01 and updated monthly. 5 letters from the inside with 2 guys pushing my resume with the Chief Pilot... Also went to Airinc to show my face. Got the call in July for an Aug interview. Good luck to your buddy.

Albie: thanks

I interviewed with Fedex last October (18th I seem to remember).
I did the sim in a group of 6. We exchanged e-mails and 2 of the group received letters of rejection within 1 week.
The rest of us got letters 8 weeks after the interview. They all got hired. I didn't. I had no insiders for a reference. Took some getting over. I thought it was in the bag. Still, currently sat in the SWA pool. Covered in slime.

I got my call ten days later but I know others in my interview group who didn't get it until many weeks later. Don't sweat sounds like your in but maybe they are caught up in the background check. See ya in the pool the water is fine!

MoneyShot,

No, you shouldn't be worrying (I know that's easy for me to say). I interviewed last summer and it took just over a month to get the good news. A friend of mine got hired about three months later and waited about the same amount of time. Kim said at the time they were just swamped. I don't think they even called my references during that time period. So just hang in there. I would think no news is good news by this time. Hope to see ya on the line.

MoneyShot,
I don't think you have anything to worry about, I interviewed on the 15-16 July and finally got the phone call on the 26th July. If you haven't recieved a FedEX rejection letter within the first week, you are proably home free...

MoneyShot,

Interviewed mid-Sept 2001, got the call in mid-Nov.
-- One guy got the "bad letter" in one week.
-- One guy didn't get the bad letter until the day after the rest of us got the call. We were all sure he was good to go.

Good luck -- the "FedEx truck paranoia" will get worse and worse until the day Beverly calls you. Time will drag mercilessly.

But oh is it worth the wait..... See you back in Memphis.:D

Money...

Same here. I interviewed on June 4 and 5 this year. Received the good news call around July 28. KD said several of our files were burried underneath things on the Chief Pilot's desk! She had to dig them out and force him to catch up on reveiwing them!

So...anything can happen. But everything I've heard is that "no news is good news".

Good luck!
