I think he was talking about the MKE crash, not the Jefferson one. I understand the confusion, it is getting harder to distinguish between PCL crashes these days.
 
In all seriousness, if an airline is plagued with a series of mishaps and incidents over a period of time it is more indicative of a deficiency in the airlines own training program and oversight than the individual pilots.

Acutally I have no desire to get on with FedEx. I'm quite happy with my seniority and captain's seat at my current airline.

ps- does the airbus take in acct TR's for landing distance like the later model 737's?
