Heard from a reputable source that hiring will not resume for at least 10-12 months, not considering the possibility of the retirement age changing to 65.

Pretty reputable (reliability still to be determined) seeing as it came from the SCP in an e-mail to everyone. :erm:
Of course, they have been wrong on numerous occasions in the past.

is that all hiring period or those that have done meet and greets and awaiting interview still get a shot. 10-12 months is an awful long time to not hire consider how much they where hiring a little while ago and all the talks of not being able to get enough people on site. as all things in aviation everything is subject to change.

yeah- but 65 affects them a bit more. Most new hires are 72 FE's, if retirement's take those slots in order to keep their options open... of course that slows things quite a bit.

Thunderworm: that includes all hiring except internal hires.

True dat.
