I was wondering if all new hires at Fedex start as a FE in the B727, and if so, how long is the typical time frame before the upgrade to FO?

Rumor has it that for now all new hires will go to the back of the Boeing, but that won't be certain until it happens.

Since it's been so long since we hired, I don't think there is a typical time for upgrade and again, no one knows how long it'll take. If we hire like people are speculating, it shouldn't be to long in the back.

I have heard through my contacts at FedEx that the company can't force you to take a foreign domecile? If that is the case, how does the company staff the overseas domecile(s)?

There will be PLENTY of newhires that will take a foreign base to get on at Fedex. No question about it. If that requires off the street captains (that will not happen) so be it.
