Hello all,

I am closing in on my FedEx requirements except for the degree. I am 39 and haven't started. I have selected Excelsior.edu as it is regionally accredited, and will most likely be the fastest solution. Does anyone with FedEx experience think it is not a good option?

Thank you -

Cowboy: third thread on the same topic in 4 days? Why don't you just get a degree, any degree, and then apply. That would be the best way to find out.

Good luck.

Any option that will expidite getting your 4 year degree is a good one. As without it, you're DOA as far as FedEx is concerned.

I will take any advice I can get gents. Thanks!

I am getting too old to take chances, every year lost at FedEx (if one does make it on) is lost retirement and job security. I have never experienced either of those two things.

Ride a bicycle to your next physical? Avoid black cats like the plague, seven years of bad luck for breaking a mirror, don't step on a crack and for dog spelled backward's sake, don't walk under any ladders.

The following admissions were taken from JAMA:

The top five causes of death in the United States, in order, are tobacco, alcohol, medical malpractice, traffic and firearms. According to JAMA, doctors kill more people than auto accidents and guns.

The number of people that doctors kill per day from medical malpractice is roughly equal to the amount of people that would die if every day, three jumbo jets crashed and killed everybody on board, commented Dr. Welch who added, in defense of his own profession, just imagine what headlines would result if a chiropractor or a naturopath accidentally killed just one patient?

Again, according to JAMA, 16 percent of all people who die in the hospital are determined by autopsy to have died of something other than their admission diagnosis. In other words, the doctor had no idea what was really wrong with the patient and, therefore, the patient may have died for want of appropriate care that would have been subsequent to an accurate diagnosis. Another trade publication, American Medical News, stated that 28 percent of people admitted to hospitals are there because they have suffered an adverse reaction to prescribed drugs.
