For some reason, the text I had originally entered didn't show up...

The FedEx jets I've seen recently have been filthy! Is there someone assigned to wash/detail the planes at the hubs or are they detailed only when in MX? This could be a lucrative business opportunity for some of you FedEx pilots...

Well, not to defend dirty little airplanes, but I did see a bunch-o-dudes with scrubbers, wax, and a cherry picker on my last launch out of Memphis. The plane looked nice and shiny and the boxes all cheered with glee.

Goose17

(you should see the inside - just a bunch of boogers and coffee stains)

; )

Stains. . .

What about the stains you leave when you're making me coffee??

Seriously, clean cockpits don't add to the bottom line. Don't hold your breath about shiny cockpits unless they install a tip jar. . .

I guess that's what happens when a company is making money. Not enough time to clean 'em. You ought to see the inside -- immaculate;)

Porta Potti's

Do the Fedex 727's have real **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**ters? They took the real crappers out of most of our 727's years ago and replaced them with porta potti's. The idea was to reduce maintenance and save weight but, I'll tell you, those porta potti's aren't a pretty sight or smell unless you are REALLY desperate.

after all...

I like my airplanes like I like my women.

(feel free to complete)

(leaving myself wide open)!

Bid?

Drifting off topic here, but I haven't been to work for a few weeks.
What happened to the October bid? ANy other good rumors. Sorry about the drift.

Dunno, but I'm pretty p.o.'d - there are 16 less hard lines on the panel of the 72 in Nov. - and I actually moved DOWN one on the list - go figure.

Back on topic?

The FedEx planes I've ridden on (prior to Sept 11) were absolutely frickin' immaculate!

You could do brain surgery on the floor if you wanted to.

You wanna see a greasy, muddy, buggy, smokey POS come for a ride on my sled.

That thing reeks of old fish slime, old coffee, old milk and sweat.

Blah!
