Thinking about going back to school during these slow times and getting my MBA. Will this be an asset to me when I start appying to fed-ex?

Many pilots have degrees in fields other than aviation. Their education and varying backgrounds really come to light during contract and other negotiations where those with business, law, or accounting experience offer insight and help to craft our desired outcomes.

Does an MBA help get a job with an airline? Probably not. Is it something that you can use to fall back upon if the airline is having hard times? Of course.

MBA?

I was once told not to put an advanced degree on your resume when looking for a straight line job. The advanced degree indicates an interest outside the cockpit. This came from a Cheif Pilot at a Fortune 500 company.
