Sorry to vent here, but last month someone posted here complaining about playing too much golf while on reverve at LAX. THANKS ALOT FOR JINXING IT. Are you the guy who goes to the pitcher throwing a no-hitter in the bottom of the eight and congratulates him. OCT, NOV, and DEC (including a week on during peak) I got called out a total of four times. It is January 9th and already I have been called three times this month. I must be number one on the speed dial. At least the surf has been flat or blown out. Hopefully for the fellas waiting (I am not a bigot, just got a few friends waiting in the pool) this may mean there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I ride the panel on the Boeing, and I live 5 hours away from Mempho in lower Alabama. Yesterday, for the first time since June 2, 2002, I got called for a draft. I told them I couldn't, as my wife is about 2 weeks away from having a baby, and they tried to talk me into it! Maybe the desperation level is going up....

Mr. Zog,

All of MEM reserve guys have finally convinced the CRS folks to call and use the LAX guys first. That way we can all sit here in lovely Memphis and not have to go anywhere. Haven't you noticed that you've been doing mem type trips? I really miss getting the late call for the MIA am out and back. Now, we can all go surfing on the mississippi. Just gotta watch out for those logs. Have fun. Hurry up poolees, quit screwing around and get in here and get to work.

Mr. Zog, maybe it's because the Vacation Cancellation/DRF/VLT/AVA gravytrain teet has FINALLY dried up for you Maddog types so the reserves have to kick in.

Guess y'all will have to suffer with only one new Mercedes this year...

You could always go back to the right seat in the Boeing....they're not doing too much on reserve.

Mr Zog,

Speaking for 727 SO's everywhere, let me say my heart F'in bleeds for you right now...;)

I can tell you why we (LAX FO's) have been flying so much in JAN...No Vacation Buyback in the MD. There are more guys out on vacation which created a lot of secondaries to fill. Some reservist had their line converted into all flying. With that being said, that means less guys on reserve...hence you being called more.

I did notice 3 more FO's have completed training and have been activated in LA. We are up to 80 FO's and again, no vacation buyback for FEB...at least not yet. I know the standard Out and Backs are in open time this month but there were also some great international trips to be had as well. I am in Dubai as we speak doing a suedo 'round the world' trip.

It has been a double edged sword for reservist in LAX. Now that we are flying alot reverse will start going junior again.
