Favorite/Worst MRE Meal

I haven't had one in about 4 years, but my favorite was always spaghetti with meat sauce.

Anyone ever make explosives with the heaters? That passed the time.

I almost got thrown in jail for that. Aparently, the apartment manager didn't think it was too funny. 6 MRE packets in a 2 liter bottle wrapped in a couple rolls of duct tape makes a LLLLLLLLLOUD BOOM!!!!

No hangars for me in 91....I was doing the Battalion liason officer gig. That's when a clueless 1LT gets to live, breathe, and fight with Army. My bros in the fighter business were heros over there, but most of them at least could get soft ice cream (dog) at the temper tents. No such luck with us...

MRE's? These kids these days. Anybody here still remember C's? Ham slices and a four pack of Winstons. Old school chow.

(BTW, the Mr. E Chow Mein was my favorite)

believe it or not, I always liked the oatmeal butt-plug too, although that thing would always swell up after a couple canteens of forced hydration and make me look like a pot-bellied starvin-marvin (minus the flies in the eyes). .

One of my friends did 7 in a day when we were on the firelines.

Worst: The Four Fingers of Death....(the Weenies).
Best: Spaghetti w/ meat.

FYI: Setting off a MRE heater bomb at 0200 in the middle of the Wadi is not good headwork.

The cheese spread on crackers 1) rules 2) takes the place of immodium.
Also if you get that new Chicken with Salsa MRE and add the cheese to it - then heat it up, it's good.
When we were flying circles around Mogadishu in 94 ,we ate MREs on our 14 hour missions. We used to always discard the Escalloped potatos and the Omelet with Ham...one day, just before TO our LM ran off the plane to get a case - we closed up and took off....inflight he opened the box and found that some &sshole from LG had taken all the crappy ones everyone threw out and put them in a case, sealed it, slid the cardboard cover over it and was distributing them. We had an entire case of Escalloped Pot and Omelets and Ham.
