In honor of the success of the thread about favorite restaurants and steakhouses, lets start a thread with some of people's favorite bars and clubs:
I expect this one to get long since we all know us pilots like to drink:

PVD- the Fish Company (hip place to hang out)

Newport, RI area (Coast Guard House) it is the place to be if you are at the beaches in RI on a Friday night. The coolest thing about the bar is you can look over the edge and see the waves crashing against the rocks. Also, the women there are amazing.
Newport on Saturday is always hopping. Most people gravitate towards Christie's (expensive cover, very popular)

BOS- The Rack (name says is all)
Tia's by the water is a cool summer hangout also.

I also like the chain bar/club Have a Nice Day cafe. I have been to the ones in CVG and DAL. It was ironic a fight broke out near us! :)

thanks and I hope to hear some good responses
Dana

Well let's see..............

The SBN Holiday inn bar is a lot of fun, not much of a walk and they have like 4 tv's there and you can even ask the bartender for the remote. (when it's not too busy of course)
As far as the women there.....hmm, mostly local types who like to drink and are a lot of fun if you want a mustache ride!

Ithaca NY, Ramada hotel bar...., I'm not sure of the name but really hip, like " the Rack" or, "hotel bar". We get a 50% discount, on food and drinks, and the bartender keeps it open for the crews who come in late. They also have some really good snack mix, with like pretzels, nuts, and some sort of hot oriental stuff, in it!
Don't know about the women there b/c we are usually the only ones in the place at that time.

Also in SBN you can go to the liquor store up the road and just buy some beer and bring it back to your room. Man I tell you I spent a week in SBN one night!

I almost forgot about Detroit. Also a Hotel bar, but...when the place is closing you can " buy some to go", and you can get drinks too!

Actually, I really wish we had some cooler overnights, like the ones in the first post, but this is pretty much my reality.

Hope you guys have some better input.

Now we're talking!

Falcon Capt--Don't tell me you were one of them Riddlers that subsisted on coffee and soda pop. No wonder we never met.;)

Let's see:

The Elbow Room, Unalaska/Dutch Harbor, AK
The Weathered Inn, Cold Bay, AK
The Willow, Dillingham, AK
The Marlin, Fairbanks, AK
Anywhere in Talkeetna, AK
Chair 5, Girdwood, AK
Darwin's Theory, Anchorage, AK
Behind the AC, Bethel, AK;)

Peace through better drinking
Cheers!

I know the place!!! It's on the list, But it's below Classroom A-Go-Go in Pattaya Beach-by far my favorite!

-Any bar in The Barrio Beretto

And if you ever heard of the Missouri Bar, well, then you know.

About any bar in Salt Lake City area. Best near beer you'll ever have. Also, everything closes by 10:00 PM so you can get a good night's sleep.

Sunset Beach Bar
St. Maarten, NA

Don't you mean "Social Clubs?" The cover to those places built the Mormon Chapel!

Viva

Hands Down...The Beach across from the Las Vegas Hilton. You go in and the next thing you know its daylight out.

Probably not the place to go on your 8 hour lay over.

More in BOS & other cities....

In the BOS area I would suggest:

Sevens
Solas (formerly Sam Adams on Newburry St)
and if you are stuck at the Hilton, the hotel bar always has some interesting types.....

In Detroit: THE POST (the one downtown is a favorite, but alas, the one in Ferndale is awesome too!!).

In STL: Dare I suggest PT's (for those of you adventurous types)

Of course, all of these are based upon "hearsay".....

I also second Cubby's!!

Goodness, cannot forget the airport bar around MDW (if you need to ask the name then you haven't passed through here). SWA folks know where I am speaking of :)

San Diego-

Kansas City BBQ. A dirty dive of a place that offers shots when the train rolls by of night train. A lot of avaition. their motto is "the sleezy bar scene from the movie top gun". The guy Jerry behind the bar is riot.

Was there with my father in law a USAir Pilot. They start chatting and he reaches around behind the bar and pulls out an old airline hat. Turns out it's the hat of the chief pilot of USairways. has his name and everything. Had some funny stories about how the hat ended up there.

BOS- The Black Rose- Best Irish pub downtown ever.

PWM- 3 Dollar deweys 100 beers on tap. Or pretty much any bar in PWM.

Furloughed Gal

I just said Hi to Andy last weekend. Ran low on cash so I had to use my stash of chips. Had some of my best hangovers there.

Thats funny, I had the exact same experience. Went to The Beach when it was dark, and walked back to the hotel in the daylight

Fly Chicaga,
Let us never speak about crossing the river again. I swear I was in the village of the **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**ed.

Bars and Clubs -

You know its sad that I'm getting this old but my only answer on seeing the question was:

Snickers and Titleist!
