There was a fatal crash at our airport in Heber City, Utah this afternoon. The aircraft was said to be doing aerobatic maneuvers in the vicinity of Heber City. He was based at our airport and was part of our flight museum. No one knows for sure what happened, but he contacted 36U's unicom reporting trouble. Then he went into a fast nose dive, strait down, and the plane exploded on impact. Both the pilot, and passenger died. The pilot was a very polite, & good man.

I was on a IFR cross country flight to Mesquite, Nevada. When we got back in to Heber city, the NTSB was still on site.

Keep these good people in your prayers.

Jeremy
