I would say like a King Air 200 or Navajo Chieftan for the family and something like a PC-9 for play. That Javelin business jet is very cool!

Pretty difficult to pack a set of golf clubs if you don't have a travel pod. I'm sure there's better stuff out there :)

I know there's a couple in civilian hands mostly because they've been for sale FOREVER! Can you do a battery start in a T-38? It would be a pain in the a$$ to have to find an FBO with a huffer cart every time you wanted to go somewhere (not to mention a 7000 foot runway.) Thus my choice is still the Alpha Jet. Short field, high performance, glass, mmmmmm...nice.

No battery start that I've ever heard of. I SUPPOSE you could work a modification, but it would have to be extensive.

Does the T-38 use electric or air for start?

If it's electric, that shouldn't be that big of a deal. Presumably the civilian ones around have some solution to this, I'm guessing... what do the NASA people do who use them for transportation?

T-38 uses air. We never had problems getting huffers when we went X-country. The smaller FBO's loved us because of the fuel bill.

As for the Alpha Jet, sorry P. Mike, the T-38 is still one of the sexiest birds flying. :p The lines are exquisite, and the design is from the '50's, which is simply amazing.

Another contender - The Hawk, much because it looks like a T-38. The Hawk would definitely be a sweet, pimped-out ride :pimp: for a new powerball millionaire.
