How often does the FAA publish the FAR's?
How often does the FAA publish the AIM?
I tried a search and I can't find this info. If you know the answer please also list the sourse. Thanks in advance for any correct answers

ASA, Jeppison and other commercial publications put it out every year but I have heard that the AIM comes out bi annually and the FARS is actually published by the FAA way more than once a year. Any info on FAA publication times anyone?

From page iii in my ASA FAR's:

"Changes affecting the regulations take place daily. The AIM changes twice a year."

"ASA's FAR/AIM Updates provide FAA regulation changes within 14 days of their release and include final rules released by the FAA but not yet effective."

So the FARs are updated every day. Does anyone know if the FAA has specific dates the updates are actually published to paper? I just found the dates for the AIM... You are correct about the AIM being published twice a year... Once in February and once in August. If anyone has anymore info on the FAA paper publications please jump in.

Well, my interpretation is that the regs are updated daily. But they do not become officially "effective" until the offcial FAA pub comes out once per yer. That's just my stab at it....

Just found on page ii it says, "This publication contains current regulations as of September 10, 2003."

The ASA FAR/AIM states that the government AIM is published every six months. It also states that the regs change daily. I found this on page iii of my 2004 ASA FAR/AIM.
