PS: Where's the best italian food in TEB, cost not being an issue?

Take route 17 north. Go up the hill on Franklin (where the Starbucks is across from MillionAir). Make a right at the 1st light (Terrace St.) Go about 1/4 mile on the left is Sylvester's. It is EXCELLENT. John Rosenvallan always eats there so several of the waiters all have Dassault pins on.

After you have done that go to Manni's. Take Route 17 north to the Parmaus
exit (past the Outback and Lone Star resturants :puke: ) Make a left, go under the freeway. About 1/2 down the road you will find Manni's. Very good as well.

When you have your day off or start the sim (you have noon slot, right?) take the time to go into the city. Eat at Angelo's on Mulberry street. It is right in little Itlay. Westside highway to Canal street and left on Mulberry. Go about 1/2 mile it will be on the right. Always something good going on down there.

Good eats!

while Jersey has pretty good eye-talian...you cant go wrong in the city

also maybe try Umbertos and Da Nico.

good chit.

In fact, hit the city on Halloween and you may even catch Gumby marching in his favorite parade!

.....thanks guys for turning this into a food and drink post. I am headed out to FSI-TEB tomorrow for three weeks and needed some new gouge on restaurants.

Anyone else going to be there?

New manger at FSI TEB is Greg Wedding..seems like a good guy, used to manage FSI SAV. He's trying to turn things around as TEB has been going down hill for some time. Give him some time and I think you will see improvements in the customer experience. Good luck with the training.

What is the story behind Scott H's departure?

Does anyone know where Arbereshi's has relocted? I will be up there the first week in Feb for DA-50EX Recurrent and have been jonesing for some of Martino's food. I heard they closed done a few months ago and were looking to relocate.

Anyone know if they have settled down somewhere?

Ask Tony or Mike Futterman at FSI TEB. They were regular's there. If anyone would know it would be them.

GUMBY!

what you got planned? you really need to get some better lookin' tang hanging around that facility! -- Its Jersey man, I want high hair and a bad attitude!

PS - I hear there is a real nice facility going up in Morristown? and I know the restaurants are better out there!

I thought " Tang" was something that astronauts drank.

If I want big hair and a bad attitude I go the the Dallas facility.

Ouch..That really hurts!! TEB has alot more happening then ILG, you must admit..The other HOT spot where G200 can be seen in the yard! If you're spending some time at TEB, ask the girls about the new Cuban place up the street on Moonachie that delivers!($10.00 min) Really Good! Big Cuban sandwiches....And NO G200, I didnt say BIG CUBANS, but BIG Cuban Sandwiches..Good Black Bleans and Rice, and all the other sides....They've got about 2 seats in the place, and the parking blows..SO have the girls place the order for you on you're 1100 break, and they'll deliver for lunch....:pimp:

I have to admit, ILG was a lot better than I suspected it would be when I was there for G-V Initial...

I hate to do this but I'm going to bring this back to the original topic.

The 50 Sim has Collins avionics with a Universal UNS-1C FMS. This is from Rex, the avionics instructor I had today for Day 2 of SPZ-8000 meat 'n taters. Whoo hoo.

Yes, Greg Wedding is the new sheriff in town. FS TEB is VERY aware that the Simuflite threat is moving into their backyard and they pointed out this knowledge several times during the first few days of ground. FS TEB has purchased the neighboring property and is basically re-building the facility with the exception of the existing Sim Bays. The propsed building pictures looked very nice and nothing at all like the current building. Which is a good thing. Imaging real parking too!

Now back to the real issue: Food 'n booze. I'll have to break away from my steak and seafood habit and try out these eyetalian joints. The cuban sandwiches sound good too.

Hope this helps!

Hey you better stop picking on me, or I'll have G200 "shank" you in the yard! That is AFTER you file your flight plans for KASE!!

I second the recommendation on this place - it's the real deal! Can't remember the name of the place, though.
