Where are these guys based? SLC?

I was also wondering: Salt lake or Des Moines?

hi, I really hope and pray someone gets this postion from this board. I don't make the salary or anything else, I was just passing along some info, from Career Builer, that doesn't appear in certain areas. Be Positive about it! and if you are more experienced, ask for what you need, gathering from the website, one position is in Iowa ( Not New York) and 2 positions in SLC, good luck and I pray your the lucky person who wants this badly! Good luck to all the pilots!!!!!!!!!!! Again best of luck, and keeping my fingers crossed, if you do get it, just let me know in a pm!!!!!!!! Good luck! Jobs are hard to come by!

Could not agree more. Good luck.

PS the salary was "STARTING RANGE"

Anyone know what those survey ranges for a G200 captain and F/O are for the Southeast?

The bravely spoken employed

When you have been out of work for a couple of months (like me) who would expect one to turn down a job for $80+K whilst currency slips away and you don't know what will come next? You would have to be a real bonehead if you want to advise someone not to work as it is not enough. Salaries find thier own level, unfortunately there seems to be plenty of, out of work Falcon pilots around as the jobs don't stay open for long.

If you're willing to live on Long Island NY then I can tell you where there might be a couple openings.

Many thanks rice

My other problem is that I am a Brit. Hard for me to get started on that side of the pond. But thanks anyway and good luck.

Whatcha got?

I just got an application for the Captain's position in Des Moines. Not saying I'll take it yet but at least it's worth looking into.

You guys know nothing about SLC. If you make $80K you will live like a king. Are economy is so crappy this pay will go a long ways even if this is on the low side.

Outside of the Congo, you dont live "like a king" on 80K anywhere, anymore.

I have to put my 5 dollars in on this thread. Notice I didn't use the word 2 cents! It was nothing more than a job posting, for anyone that may be interested in. Don't worry about living like a KING, there are many things to consider, those people WHO DONT get the job , are sour grapes! And have fun intimidating others. At this point it has become, disresctful, I can't believe that ONE PERSON, would be happy for another.

we don't live in the congo, not here in america! This is a great OPPORTUNITY FOR a pilot, and I am the one praying they get it!

Seems to me that the SLC area economy is doing quite well. Where is your information coming from?

Just a side comment: I am surprised that Buffett's Midwestern isn't using Netjets instead of having an in-house department.

I just did a trip to OMA and if they were to offer the job in DSM I think I'd need a lot more than 70k to live there. At least 10K to cover the shrink from going crazy looking at all of that flat ground!

Dude, you haven't seen "flat" till you've been to Champaign, IL! DSM isn't that bad. The cost of living is low and the people are nice. It's tough to get good mexican food and it gets colder than balls there in the winter.

You won't live like a king on $70k but it's enough for a stepping stone job. JMO. (I served my time in hell in DBQ living on $1,000/mo. ) TC
