You've Got To Be Freakin Kidding Me!!!!!!

WTFO!!!!!!!!!

Okay this is starting to get a little rediculous (or is it just me??). But $80k/yr for a current and qualified DA-900 captain who will be living in Singapore? Am I "out of touch" or does this seem absurd to the rest of you?
Now $80k for a new hire CA or qualified FO in an avg/low COL area in the states seems marginally acceptable but Singapore? With the devaluation of the $ overseas that poor guy will be hurting right out of the gate.
I'll say it again, WE (PILOTS) ARE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY!! It's not the owners/CEO's/HR types who are offering these rediculously low salaries, its the CP's and DO's who have lost touch of what it costs to buy a new home, two cars, and put the kids through college. Not to mention what's the poor schmuck supposed to put away in his 401k which is likely his only source of retirement income.
I feel better now.
