The pilots are encouraged to buy a round of drinks at the bar. I've heard these guys come home with $500+ bar bills and that is the norm.

I've also heard that 2 of the pilots were in there last 3 days of 7X training when they got news of the airplane not coming on line and were told to come home(I guess they stayed and finished ).

That picking up the bar tab on the road is very true. Why did AB get rid of the airplane? Especially at the last minute......Inquiring minds want to know.

I didn't quite get this. Why is AIN comparing the G350 with the 7X? It doesn't seem quite a valid comparison. Gulfstream's G500 is much closer in range (G500 at 5800nm vs 7x at 6000 nm), and I think it's pretty close in list price, too.

You're exactly correct. The Gulfstream G500 and the Pseudo-French Bombardier Global 5000 are direct competitors for the truly French Dassault-Mystere Falcon 7X in both price and range.

Both the 85,100 lb G500 and the 87,700 lb G5000 offer greater passenger room than the 69,000 lb Falcon.

What am I missing here? EBay just took delivery of a new G550 recently and to my knowledge they have nothing in LAS????

EBAY does own a G550, thats for the CEO in the Bay area. The Guys who started EBAY have 2 falcon 900's and are based in Vegas, with the 7x's to replace the 900's
the CEO wants aircraft with 3 engines not 2.
How many times has your CEO been on a plane with an inflight shutdown??

Actually we are a subsidiary of the company that the CEO wants 3 engine aircraft so I can only guess as to his reasoning. But the do alot of over water operations so I'm sure this plays into mind. As for us we are 2 engine all the way and probably as big as we are going to get. And thats a good thing.

As to why Busch is selling the 7X rumor has it there is an ongoing squabble between Busch 3 and 4. From what I heard Busch 3 wants a BBj or Global but Busch 4 ordered the 7X long time ago dropping a million dollar nonrefundable deposit on it . So I guess Busch 3 won.

Who really knows I heard this from a reliable source but my crappy memory might have some of the details wrong.

VP-BGG at Nice in july, very short take off and impressive rate of climb.

the sad part about that is that the french thing will fly about 1500 miles further and burn less gas than either.

(and still cram you into a small falcon interior)

Its like a Yugo that can go from NY-Cali on a single tank of gas.
