For those of you F10 drivers out there. I have a couple of questions I'm trying to find out for a friend....
1. What is a typical standard minimum VFR minimum runway length for the F10 for landing?
3500 feet if I'm carrying passengers. I operated regularly from 3000' when empty.
2. What is the Max Lndg Weight Vref?
Max landing wt. is 17640, and the ref at that weight with Slats + 52 flaps (it's max) is 117 kts.
3. What is a typical desired reserve at landing? In lbs.
With VFR at an airport with multiple runways, I use 1400 lbs. IF there is another airport within 30 miles or less.
IFR in crappy weather, 2 grand minimum plus any required reserves.
4. Anyone ever taken one from the ATL area nonstop to PSP, with a safe reserve?
Can't be done...that I know of. That's about 1600 + nm. In a NO-WIND situation it'll take you 3.5 to get there, with a fuel burn of 5300 lbs, when flown at 350. You'd be to heavy to do 390 for the first couple of hours, in most a/c configurations.
SO with a total of 5900 lbs of fuel on board.....well you can to the math on that one.
Heck, on most days you won't make that leg eastbound except in the winter with a steady 100 kts on the tail.
Any other weird idiosyncracies?
Been flying them for about 10 years, and currently do. It's a nice little plane. Plenty fast. Good for three + hrs. A bit more in good weather and if you can get it higher. 100's and TR'd 10's are a bit heavier, and will initially cruise at 350 and 370 initially. Do a search in this forum for falcon 10. There was a thread on this a month or so ago and I posted some additional information.
Don't hesitate to PM me if you need some more specific information.
Thanks
